I can’t tell you how much I related to this cartoon. Not in my current job, but in previous ones. Oh, except today I did get email from a higher-up asking if I’d ever considered replacing various MS products with open source equivalents... DUH! No, when would I ever think if that? (ok, ok, seriously it’s a lot better than past executives I’ve dealt with that tried to stop any such plans)

Did you ever ask your higher ups if they had ever used any of the open source equivalents before they asked you if you had considered that option?
