Hi Tom
You're more politically up-to-date than I am. About the SNL sketch...what is a flurge anyhow?

I've been trying to figure out what a flurge is all week.

I think it was invented for the sketch. People are claiming it is a synonym for "boner shrinker" or First Lady I'd Rather Get Elected. However since she said "I googled it and it's disgusting" then I'm guessing it might be "FLIRJ" (First Lady I'd Rim Job).

The one nice thing about electing senior senators is that they can say they're for or against certain things, and that's all very well and dandy... BUT when there's a record on how they actually voted, what bills they supported or sponsored or wrote.

Well... they can say one thing, but it's definitely another.

Same with Palin's flip-flop on the bridge thing. Yeah, she ended up being against it---once it was already taken away. And she didn't say "Thanks, but no thanks" since they took the money ANYWAY! Even if they didn't build that particular bridge.

And this also is public record. Facts. Amazing watching her lying face in the interviews when "Charlie" asked her about it. Amazing and caused chills to run down my spine. Why? Because a competent liar is in the White House right now... and they want to put two more in there.

Hm. Competent? Well, Bush is good at something. Anyway.... keep the facts flowing; I just hope people will get it!

Seems to me that putting all that effort into pointing out the opponent's failings is rather similar to spending an entire week talking about why Palin isn't a feminist and lipstick on a pig.

Positivity, yeah!

It is similar, but it is different. It is establishing the narrative that McCain is untrustworthy.
