Sarcastic quote from this week's "This Modern World":
Conservatives see no contradiction in requesting another $87 billion for Iraq while pushing for $107.8 billion in tax cuts. Thank God those irresponsible tax-and-spend liberals aren't in charge! Then we'd really be in trouble!"
This made me think: We have to come up with a catchy way to say this. Maybe "Attacks-and-spend"?

What are your ideas?

Yup, "borrow-and-spend Republicans" is the new standard phrase for this stuff. But even though it doesn't directly apply here, I also am growing to like the term "cheap-labor conservatives".

Speaking of pointing out the Republicans' fiscal recklessness, Paul Krugman is on tour! See him if you can, and tell your friends who live near any of the places he's going. We're going to be tabling for Dean at his Harvard Square appearance. And if you missed his recent appearance on NPR's Fresh Air, I high recommend it. audio available online

I'm a big fan of the term "Credit Card Republicans". It implies just the right amount of irresponsibility.
