I just learned that Google Spreadsheets can access data from Google Finance. That is, in a Google Spreadsheet you can use the function =GoogleFincance("SYMBOL", "Item") to gather data. For example =GoogleFinance("GOOG", "pe") will fill that cell with the current P/E ratio of Google.
