Wow, this article really breaks down the big IBM document into a few short pages. Very readable.
SCO really screwed up. The lesson learned here is “always check to see how big the dog is before you kick it.”
In AT&T vs. BSD, AT&T thought they were going up against a bunch of hippies at a university; turned out that since Berkeley is part of the U.C. system, their “legal department” was the State of California... the 5th largest economy of the world.
In SCO vs. IBM little tiny SCO forgot that IBM is 90% lawyers, 9% managers and 1% geeks. Don’t fuck with IBM.
