Film Review: A Scanner Darkly

Last night quietchris, a co-worker Paul, and myself saw A Scanner Darkly (IMDB, Watch the trailer, WebSite, Wikipedia) at a preview (it doesn’t open until Friday).

I never read the original P. K. Dick book, but the movie was excellent. It was filmed with live actors and then computer rotoscoped into an animation. Watch the trailer to see what I mean.

A good time was had by all.

I'm hoping Keanu can play a brain-damaged character well enough. I'm a big PKD fan, and was looking forward to an adaptation of his being more faithful than any so far, with the possible exception of [i]Screamers[/i].
