My non-libertarian friends that live in New Jersey are encouraged to click here to send a letter to Trenton in support of this bill.

Is it like saying, "My non-kosher friends are invited to this pig roast I'm having on Saturday" or more like "My non-Nazi friends are invited to this Jew-hating club I'm forming"?

There are quite a few flavors of libertarian. Although some would not support such a bill, others would. I'm a libertarian in that adults should be allowed to do as they please without government intervention as long as they do not hurt others. For example, I don't think the government should regulate romantic relationships - letting some get married, but not others. But when it comes to commercial transactions, protecting the environment, and protecting the rights of queers in their workplaces, I would not call myself a libertarian.

That makes you a liberal. Which is actually a more intellectually honest and informed manifestation of libertarian ideals than modern-day "libertarianism". If you want to go against the grain and claim "libertarian" as a description for your position, go ahead; but it's not what most others mean by the term.

I do call myself a liberal as well as libertarian. When I took this little political policy test, I scored on the borderline of liberal and libertarian.

Liberal and libertarian are both big terms - they both cover a lot of different views.
