Date: 2005-11-02 03:48 pm (UTC)I only read LJ blogs because there is a reasonable quantity there and the "friends" list makes it sufficiently efficient (although it's crap for following threads). I don't chase down other blogs on other sites, even of people I'm interested in, because it takes too much time. Usenet is so much better for this, really! It's a similar reason to why I prefer mailing lists to web forums; I don't want to have to go out and find the data, I want it to come to me. I don't want to have to check 100 web sites just in case data has changed in them. Very inefficient use of time!
I've now added the syndicated feed to my friends list, but it only has your yesterday announcement and 2 unrelated topics that I can see.

Date: 2005-11-02 04:09 pm (UTC)That's why I have an RSS feed, so people can integrate it into their LJ or RSS readers.
Of course, LJ doesn't seem to have imported all of the entries from http://www.everythingsysadmin.com/index.rdf so I will look into it.
