Wow. Wow-wow-wow. I didn’t think they could beat “Finding Nemo” but they blew it out of the water (so to speak). if you haven’t seen The Incredibles, see it now while it is on the big screen. Unlike the other films from Pixar which were mostly “kid films that adults will enjoy,” this was truly an “action film that kids will enjoy.” It was funny, touching, never sappy, with the most amazing action sequences. I think the best decision Pixar has made in years was to cast Holly Hunter as the mother. There are certain scenes in a movie where the actor truly needs to give a performance beyond what is required in the rest of the film. Holly Hunter stepped up to the challange, and the fact that she had to do it 100% with her voice and hope and pray that the animators would get everything else right was a testament to her acting ability. See this one right away!

I've seen it twice, and each one was equally exciting. I loved the chase scenes. It was beautifully paced. I hope it gets awards.

I saw this with my parents last weekend. We were all really impressed with how great it was. The "Boundin'" short thing, on the other hand...

The "Bounding" short was the first short film they've done that I thought really fell flat.

Yup, it was amazing. I think they haven't done a very good job of marketing the movie, though -- though I'm sure kids enjoy it, it doesn't really seem like a kids' movie, but they've been marketing it like one. Too many people think that just because something is animated, it's aimed at kids.

I wasn't all that impressed with the "Cars" trailer, but then I remembered that there are only two people in the entertainment business who've never disappointed me: Joss Whedon and John Lasseter. As long as Lasseter's at the head of Pixar, I have faith that they'll keep turning out amazing movies.

I was sort of worried about/offended by the hick truck in that trailer, but I don't know how much he has to do with the movie itself.

*nod* Just got back from seeing it twice. Knowing what happens you find all sorts of clues dropped thru the movie. Clues that are just plain chilling.

It was good. Quite good.

Holly Hunter is even great in terrible films...

...and even when you're not supposed to like her. I saw "Little Black Book" on the plane from Chicago yesterday -- because, well, what was I going to do, watch "King Arthur"? -- and Hunter was, like, 10x the film.
