During the Edwards/Cheney debate, if Cheney makes some kind of joke about lawyers then Edwards should respond by giving him a stern look, then say, “Yeah, Dick, that’s about as funny as a heart attack.”

Or maybe he should crack a joke about corporate CEOs, and then another one about Oil industry tycoons. There aren't a lot of professions less popular than lawyers in the public discourse, but Cheney belongs to not one but two of those rare categories.

I'd say Cheney wouldn't have the chutzpah to try that, but if Bush can attack Kerry for wanting to spend too much... heck, if Kerry could attack Dean for being a danger to senior health coverage...
