Zell Miller last night: “For more than twenty years, on every one of the great issues of freedom and security, John Kerry has been more wrong, more weak and more wobbly than any other national figure.”

Zell Miller in 2001: “In his sixteen years in the Senate, John Kerry has fought against government waste and worked hard to bring some accountability to Washington. Early in his Senate career in 1986, John signed on to the Gramm-Rudman-Hollings Deficit Reduction Bill, and he fought for balanced budgets before it was considered politically correct for Democrats to do so.  [Hey, wait – I thought you guys have said – endlessly – that he’s the #1 liberal in the Senate!]   John has worked to strengthen our military, reform public education, boost the economy and protect the environment.” [Remarks to the Democratic Party of Georgia Jefferson Jackson Dinner 2001]

Hey Zell, fuck you!

Careful, he might challenge you to a duel.

I think that he's against any sort of auto-erotic behaviour, much less autoerotic copulation. You do have to wonder how many bimbos got put under his desk to get him to himself flip-flop so harshly.

You should read the full text of the 2001 speech, which is STILL AVAILABLE ON HIS WEBSITE! (http://miller.senate.gov/speeches/030101jjdinner.htm).

Damn hypocrites.

Still, it's a toss-up between vomiting over Miller vs. Libby Dole's, "It's freedom OF religion, not freedom FROM religion" crapclamation yesterday.

(...and by "you should read", I just meant "people may be interested in". Damn lack of comment editing!)

Ugh, Liddy Dole can suck it, too. It's both, in whichever way we deem fit for ourselves. I want to be free to choose my own religion (or to choose none, as the case may be), and I want freedom from the religions of others who want to force theirs on me. I guess it's okay to force religion on others as long as they're the ones forcing their own on those of us who don't share it.

Zell Miller is a Benedict Arnold and whether or not he is a Reublikkkan or Democrat. The Republikkkan party made a big mistake by showcasing such hatred in prime-time. Zell Miller's speech will have the same effect that Pat Buchanan's speech did in 1992. Turn off all the moderate's.

I sure hope so. Him and Mrs. Phyllis "women shouldn't lead...oh, except for me" Schlafly and Alan Keyes. They've already out-and-out admitted that as soon as the RNC is over, so is the run toward the center and it's back to business as usual.

Zell, suck it. Go join the Republicans already if you're so freaking sick of your own party. You won't be missed.

I just figured the guy was senile or something. Either way it'll be a cold day in hell before he wins a Democratic election.

The guy's an old-school Dixiecrat, one of the last surviving of his breed. There's plenty of support for folks like him in the South. He might not survive a national Democratic election with that kind of attitude, but he could conceivably go on for a while just as he has.
