Back from Dublin! (and house-buying news)

Woo hoo! I’m back in New Jersey!

Dublin was a blast. Thanks to all my Googly friends that showed me around, showed me around town, and got me really drunk.

While I was gone quietchris worked with the realestate agent, lawyer, and home inspector. I used my awesome power of internet-based banking to shift money around so that we had enough for the downpayment and closing costs. The inspection is scheduled for Thursday.

Garfield is 28 today

Remember when it was new and he loved lasagna and drank coffee? It was the first time I had a "favorite comic strip" (outside of Peanuts, of course).

Now the pizza industry owns him, so he eats pizza and never mentions lasagna. He doesn't drink coffee because that isn't "kid friendly". Jim Davis doesn't actually write or draw the strip any more. And not one but two Garfield moves suck.
