Party Preparations and Sangria
Dec. 10th, 2004 08:34 amLast night after work I went to the A&P and Trader Joes to buy stuff for my birthday party Friday night. I completely love Trader Joes, and wish they were bigger so I didn't have to buy the remainder of my list at A&P. However, if they were bigger then they wouldn't be the great place they are. Sigh.
While shopping I realized how little I entertain. There I was with a shopping cart of stuff realizing that I'm 36 years old and I have no way to calculate the right cheese-to-crackers ratio or salsa-to-chips ratio.
When I got home C was there making sangria, or I should say waiting to make sangria since I had half the ingredients that she needed. We sliced fruit together and got it all going. We tasted it raw... it's pretty obvious why sangria needs to sit over night before its ready. It just didn't taste right.
Go microbes! Go!
