Busy Day

I STARTED AT A GYM! There's a rip-off of "Curves for Women" called "Cuts for Men", and there is one 4 blocks from where I live, so I joined a few days ago. I actually started today. In 30 minutes you do a full 2-hour workout. It felt good.

I LEARNED MOVABLE TYPE! I tried MovableType (the blog software) about 6 months ago and was completely confused. Of course, then I didn't know any of the blog terminology. My goal was to see if I could replicate my book's web site using a blog package, so that it is easier to update and the archives are automated. After about 8 hours of work, either the software has gotten better or I've gotten smarter. I've hit my limit as far as the graphics/design talent that I have (or don't have), I think I need to find a friend to design the menubar/tab graphics.

I also bid on a consulting gig, emailed out my resume to a bunch of potential places, and lefted a bunch of voicemails. More on those later...

I have to start assuming that people aren't intentionally trying to piss me off

ANNOUNCEMENT!

For now on, when someone says something stupid that pisses me off, I'm going to pretend I thought they were telling a joke, burst out laughing, and say "Oh, that's hilarious!". I figure it's better to act embarassed when the person says they weren't making a joke, than to explain to police why I killed the person.

Or maybe I've lost my sense of humor and need a coping mechanism so that I don't kill these people. I wonder how common this is with sysadmins.
