Frankly, I am disturbed about all the varieties of Oreo cookies out there, and how their section of the cookie aisle keeps growing.

But not as disturbed as I am about the growing sameness of the D and R parties, and my dearth of political "choices," diversity of which big-business media seems all too happy to squelch.

that comparison doesn't work. We have plenty of choices for soda.. and plenty for crackers.. and toilet paper even. In general we only have two choices for most offices, and that sucks. Comparing it directly to types of M&Ms/Coke/Mountain Dew is like wanting to have multiple candidates within a particular type, and heck that's what primaries are for :)
