First draft complete!
Jul. 12th, 2002 08:46 amAhhhhh. I finished the first draft of the slides for my first full-day tutorial. It's nearly 300 slides, which means about 1 per minute. Luckily I read M. J. Dominus's hilarious "Conference Presentation Judo" so I think the tutorial and revised it based on that. I think it's going to be a great tutorial. Now on to the dress rehearsal!
Slides per hour
Date: 2002-07-12 03:57 pm (UTC)but for technical tutorials,
I usually expect to do between 20 and 40
slides an hour---figure 30 as a reasonable
average. So unless you're going to be talking for
7.5 hours, and the material is unusually speedy,
300 is too many, and you need to move some into the Bonus Section.
Hope this helps.
