"Take a Vote Hour"
Oct. 28th, 2008 01:59 pmMajor CEOs in America have taken the time to encourage everyone to take an hour off from work to vote next week. (I like the use of peer-pressure... now any CEO that doesn't give people time off is defying the CEO of Cisco, eBay, Google, etc. etc. and MR. TRUMP!).

Date: 2008-10-28 08:43 pm (UTC)In my experience (Western NY), an hour isn't a safe estimate if you show up before work or after dinner, but if you came in during the early afternoon you'd be more likely than not to find no line at all. Companies that do give you an hour in the middle of the day are certainly aiding the smooth processing of democracy, so all of these folks deserve credit (except Trump, naturally).
