Remember when I predicted the spin on the VP selections and encouraged people to immediately spin the other way? (thank you [livejournal.com profile] baerana, who actually followed my suggestion) Well, check it out... the official announcement has begun and already CNN is playing videos of Republicans saying, “McCain’s Pick is Stroke of Genius” and “I also believe that he has now won the election for president. Who better to woo disgruntled Hillary Clinton supporters...?”

Well, unless you supported Hillary because you are pro-choice, pro-environment, pro-solve-the-climate-crisis, and pro-evolution. Because she is none of the above.

The problem, however, is that Biden has to figure out how to say, “Oh holy shit the bitch is a-crazy in the head!” without sounding misogynistic. I think what will help is to have Hillary on the road campaigning hard.

I was hoping he'd be stupid enough to pick Crist from FL. ;-)

I'm thinking that if you vote for the guy who joked "Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly? Because Janet Reno is her father." you no longer get to be called a "Hillary Clinton supporter".

Yeah, funny how I wasn't willing to spew empty boilerplate at my friends when none of them care what I think politically, several of them hate both parties and the whole 2-party system, and a not insubstantial percentage don't even live here. :P

Again, I wonder who you *wouldn't* have said the negative boilerplate about.

I do totally agree that this is a crazy and bad choice -- if I were somehow inclined to vote for McCain in the first place I'd want him to have a running mate who could do the job from day one, since he's not getting any younger, healthier, or less demented.

Is she seriously a creationist? Can you link to some evidence? Please? **rubs hands together gleefully**

She has said that creationism and evolution should be taught side by side in public schools. "I'm all for information," was the explanation.

Hah. I'm all for information too, that's why I don't want creationism to have a place larger than "some people believe in Genesis".

Also, pro-this or pro-that....I'm pro-boobies!

Try, "at least my fine opponent isn't as a-crazy in the head as Joe Liberman. We should all be thankful for small blessings."
