because if you're paying attention to the 'cheating scandal', then you are, by that nature, paying attention to the marriage, and she's half of it, and despite any wishes for political spouses to be seen and not heard, in this matter, she matters, regardless of how inconsequential you want to make her.
I like her responses. Best responses one could imagine. No, actually, better than anything I could have thought to say if I were in her shoes.
jayeye, no one says you have to care. I prefer to think that what goes on behind closed doors shouldn't bear into political decisions. And Elizabeth Edwards seems to agree with me, since she's asking the public to leave her and her family alone on this matter.
