Carriage house for rent, Bloomfield, NJ

If you read my LJ, you know that in the last year or so we’ve invested 15k or more in improving the carriage house in our back yard. Our tenant is moving out as expected (his family has out-grown the place).

So... know anyone looking for an awesome rental? Living room, kitchen, bath, huge loft bedroom. Easy walk to the train.

I think it's a great price... but none of my friends looking for living arrangements can afford $1250/month. I think I need richer friends.

Thanks for the tip! I just submitted an advert.

...and I'm in Australia! Imagine 15 years ago doing that. I would have had to (1) find a time when they and I are both awake, (2) send the advert by fax or... hell knows what, (3) mail a physical check.

That's a great little house and a good price. I wish I could afford it. I won't be ready to move until next summer, but even then $1250 is about $300 more than I'll be able to afford ;-(

You might be able to split it with someone. It depends on if you want to use the livingroom as a second bedroom. I don't know if this place would be a worse commute for you, however.
