I blogged her original video. Here is her version for Sesame Street. Like the original, this was done in one take, not cuts or edits, and you’ll watch it at least twice to see if you can figure out how the heck they did it.

How they did what? All the muppets? It's not that unusual... the song is fun, though!

How they got the puppeteers in and out considering the various angles. Watch the very opening. They show the room is empty but her. Very quickly they zoom and and then the muppets appear.

ah. I've seen enough "behind the scenes with the muppets" that I know how they do it. They move, very fast, and have multiple puppets for things so they don't have to, say, use the same penguins on the street as they did in the doorway.

Ah! Yeah--I've seen the same things [livejournal.com profile] awfief has.. :) They just run reallllly fast with multiple muppets! :-D

Still like the song! ;-D

this, for muppeteers, was simple. It's very much what they did 25 years ago with Dance Myself to Sleep, though in that you have Ernie pulling in the four sheep, and the difficulty of moving an entire bed with Bert on it ;-)

"Dance Myself to Sleep"!

I love it almost as much as "Put Down The Duckie."

I must be totally overlooking the difficulty. How they did what?

They do that kind of thing a few times. (NOT as much as in the original music video, but very cute)

Oh, that. I just assumed they had stuff barely outside of the frame. The fact that the camera pans up during the opening sequence seems to reinforce that.

I've watched it a few times, and I still can't figure out how they managed without The Count. ;)

It looks like there was a transition between takes in the middle of her spinning while looking up. It doesn't detract from the marvelous Muppets, though!

Yeah, it looked like they slipped in a bit of a whip cut there :-)

Yes, the first time I saw it, i noticed that. Of course, the poster had said they did it in 2 pieces, which helped make it more obvious...
