Sharper Image... down for the count
Feb. 20th, 2008 06:45 pmSharper Image, Lillian Vernon file for bankruptcy
Thank fucking god. Sharper Image makes overpriced, high-end, CRAP that nobody really needs. They are the leader in selling products that people buy, use a few times, then toss. The environmental impact of Sharper Image on both the resources their products consume, and the landfill space required for their shit, should be the subject of a “60 Minutes” investigation.

Date: 2008-02-21 12:07 am (UTC)I remember thinking, last time I flew, how pointless The Sharper Image now was with the proliferation of the Internet--where you can buy all their crap for a lot less money, and the ability to compare things makes you realize what they're selling really isn't all that special. 20 years ago, they were the only place you could get overpriced, tacky, electronic stuff.
