yesthattomA lot of progressive blogs are covering the fact that Republican strategists are advising clients to deal with Bush's bad polls by distancing themself from the Whitehouse. In fact, lead conservatives are publishing articles saying that Bush wasn't a true conservative. When the election cycle really starts everyone will be able to confidently distance themselves by saying I'm more conservative than Thou.
I think the Dems have a great reply: My opponent claims Bush wasn't a true conservative, but Bush was 100 percent Republican.
I'd like to see a candidate like Mitt or MrTVGuy defend that without smearing his own party.
