Can anyone point me to the old short-story that involved a time in the future where everyone would have access to computers (yeah, it was written a long time ago) and at tax time everyone could allocate where their taxes were spent by entering it at their home terminal.

I was told about this story in 1983ish, but it may have been published long before.

Anyone recognize it?

Update: [profile] composerjk found it! We, The People. It's a short, powerful, story. Give it a read.

I don't recognize it. But when you find it, would you post the information? I'd love to read it.

I remember the story, I'm fairly sure it was published in Analog.
