Snakes on the Office
Apr. 3rd, 2007 10:42 pmYes it's true. The pet snake my group keeps in the office escaped. It's a shame because it escaped on April Fools Day so it was difficult to communicate that this was not a joke.
The snake was finally found and the owner will now keep it at home. I hope it he takes the webcam we set up for it home so we can still visit it. I assume we'll have a "no snake" policy soon. Luckily Google is still a dog-friendly company. (You can bring you dog to work as long as co-workers near you don't object.)
CNN covered the snake capture.
Official Google Story is really well-written.

Date: 2007-04-04 02:57 am (UTC)I'm about done with the dogs, though. They all seem to have some issue: attacking bicycles, peeing on people's stuff, begging relentlessly for treats their medical condition does not allow.

Date: 2007-04-04 08:23 pm (UTC)It's a shame Kaiser had to go home. I enjoyed watching him doing.. well, not much, except at feeding time - the NYC office is a fun place, but I guess they've decided that this all made for a little *too* much fun.
(sorry for the earlier blank comments - buggy ol' LJ throwing DB errors and posting empty comments)

So when I walk in, I think 'oh, someone's got after dark running, with the crickets'
And then, 'No, those are real crickets'
