Life (and lunch) at Google

Every company I’ve ever worked at has a CEO/founder that brags to the press that they eat lunch in the cafeteria with all their employees. However, I’ve found this to be a big flapping lie... until I started working at Google.

Date: 2006-05-25 03:28 am (UTC)That said, I'm suspicious of any company that offers too much on-campus services or amusement. The ulterior motive is to get you not to leave the building.
For myself, even if I bring lunch, I insist that I spend at least 20-30 minutes during each workday a healthy distance from the office. It reminds me that I work to live rather than living to work.
