Goss resigned from head of CIA today. Well, we (liberal Democrats) all said he was the wrong man for the job, incompetent in every way, at least he'll be replaced by... well we'll just have to wait and see.
"I don’t suppose it has anything to do with the fact that Goss is neck deep in the Wilkes-Corruption-and-Hookers story that’s been burbling in the background all week."
The head of the CIA learns so many deep secrets as part of his job that any time someone serves in that position for less than a good 5-10 years its a national security problem. A man that is involved in a scandal involving hookers could easily be blackmailed. This has got "Bush fucked up AGAIN" written all over it.
Oh Duke, you bad bad bad boy.

So basically every DCI except four of them is what you're saying. I don't agree with you at all. It's not like they pull these people off the street. There's been 19 people in the DCI role since 1946 and only Dulles, Helms, Casey, and Tenet were in the position for five years or more. In fact, of those 19 people, ten were in the position for two or fewer years. Deutch was only in it for about 1.5 years. Woolsey two, Gates one, Bush one, Colby two, etc.
I agree that having a problem with hookers is a big issue, but I don't agree with your assertion of less than 5-10 years of service in that position being a problem.
