I saw his speech about two weeks ago.

I kept comparing it to 1991 and 1992 when "Earth In the Balance" came out. I think then, you might have been able to have some lingering doubts.

The changes since then that Gore outlines, just in the 15 years, are unlike anything else in recorded history, or what the fossil record tells us. I guess you have to question Gore's motives and perspective, perhaps, but besides making some money from a movie I'm not sure what the ulterior motive would really be compared to the people who are still trying to deny things.

I think it's good to keep an open mind but I have to say his lecture was very well put together and painted a devastating picture to my scientifically trained mind.

"Right now, scientists can't agree if global warming is real or not"

That's the myth that your ilk keeps propagating. The truth is, silly rabbit, that tricks are for kids.

32 papers vs. thousands? Sure, the oil companies can fund 32 papers. I believe it.

Stop trolling, you Republican in Libertarian's clothing!

As for a Republican in Libertarian's clothing

Bah! Every time a libertarian opens their mouth it drives votes to the Republican side.

The truth is that the last 30ish years of politics documents that Democrats have a track record of doing libertarian things while Republicans promise libertarian things but do the opposite. Yet, libertarians overwhelmingly send votes to the Republican column.

Libertarians do nothing but speak in elitist intellectual terms but are too dumb to realize that they're voting against their best interest by supporting Republicans.

The truth is that only the Democrats have balanced the budget in the last 50 years; and if you pull out your last 15 years of tax returns and calculate (federal tax paid)/(total income) you'll find that the Clinton plan had you paying less taxes than the Bush plan.

Based on actual performance (not rhetoric) every LP member should quit their party and start working with the Democrats.

Don't fuck with me on this issue... piss me off any more and this discussion will get ugly.
