Happiness is a royalty check
Apr. 11th, 2006 05:05 pmMy first check arrived (2005Q4). Since the book was only on sale for about 35 days in 2005Q4, this is more like "first month sales report".
2412 copies sold in the US.
201 copies sold foreign
---------------
2613 copies in the first month!
Wow!
Obviously that's a lot of pent-up demand from all the pre-release PR that I did. However, the next quarter should include the day that Slashdot mentioned the book. I can't wait!

anyway, WTG!

Date: 2006-04-11 10:09 pm (UTC)Also, what is n? Or, how does n get determined, whatever it might represent. And, what's "normal" for a tech book? I guess it could depend on how popular the subject is. I'm guessing that some sort of flavor of the month HTML bullshit book will have a lot of sales compared to something useful like GSM antenna design or something.
