I hope and pray that Google stays the course and continues to stand up to the government.

The thing is the information the government is asking for isn't specific data related to a specific case, there isn't some bad guy right now who will be put in jail with Google's data who would be set free without it. It might, at best, be used to show that porn had been searched for in a particular time period and possibly by who to show that porn COULD be found with Google.

If they want to show that, they should spend their own time entering Google searches.

In the end the data they are asking for Google shouldn't give... and should continue to stand strong. Why? Because it starts with that first inch and then they'll be asking for the rest of it. Well, and what Google said too. :)

I wish them luck. I heard their stock took a small beating over this, so I hope it will bounce back.

Is this a political question, or a business one?
