Tom catches a cold

yesthattomYing and I both took sick days today.
She had taken a sick day yesterday, I was was coming down with something.
I spend every Wednesday night at her place. I had taken a number of precautions to not catch it from her. Didn't work. Shit.
Luckily, with the wonders of high-speed home Internet, I was able to have a productive day telecommuting. I helped one of our engineers through a networking issue he was having, I finished configuring the Cisco VPN 3005 I've been dicking around with, and cleared out a backlog of work-related email that needed replying.
Ying also had a ton of work to get through. She left at 3pm to go to a night class she's taking. She wasn't feeling much better, but missing that class is a no-no.
It was nice sitting in a room together, each at our own desk, each with our own PowerBook, working the day away.
No, we didn't spend the day having sex. I was too sick to be horny.
Dang, you know it's a real illness if I'm not horny. Heck, if you ever hear me say, "I'm so ill that I'm not horny, nor do I want to use a computer" you should just call the funeral home.
