Baby Announcement

Samuel, son of Yang and co-mother Pang.

Born March 17, 2003, 3:43pm, 6 lbs 13 oz, 20.5 inches long. Healthy as could be. Yang and co-mother Pang are resting soundly. Male-caregiver-of-undetermined-title Tom is doing well too.





No amount of natural child birth classes could prevent the emergency c-section they had to do. Alas, it means that Amara will be in the hospital all week recoverying. It was quite a scare, but things went very well. (Oddly enough... the next baby to be born in the unit was a planned c-section that ended up coming out natural childbirth-style)

And no... the middle name will not be "St. Patrick". :-)

Yay! Congratulations to the whole gang. Samuel is adorable. I love that little chin! I hope mom is doing well. She will need waiting on hand and foot for at least two weeks. Don't let her do anything except take care of the baby, and someone else should change the diapers at first.
