It depends. I mean, if you count helping someone reboot their Windows box just once, does that count as a system administration experience? What if they didn't enjoy it?
I know a lot of my bisexual friends are surprised to find out that I'm a computer system administrator. I know it can be difficult to understand but I hope you can be open minded enough to take the time to learn more about system administration. Statistics show that as much as 20% of all people are system administrators, or have had system administration experiences.
I've always wondered about system administration. I've always been a programmer, and I like it. I'm not a system administrator myself, but I don't hate them. In fact, I have some system administrator friends myself.
I have to admit I've thought about what it might be like being a system adminstrator, but I'm scared. Maybe I can call myself "sysadmin-curious."
As a configuration manager (and having been grouped at different times with developers, QA, project management, and IT), I'd say "I stand with my sysadmin siblings!" except having dipped in the pool myself more than once, that just sounds ... off. :-)
