That's been the rumor since he was mayor, pretty much based on the fact that he's middle-aged and single. Personally, I've got no problem believing that he's middle aged and single because no woman would be willing to live with his shit, but that's here nor there.

I'm afraid I can't accept the blogactive page, since the only person they claim has actual knowledge is conveniently dead and left no record. "Failure to deny" doesn't cut the mustard, either -- if someone asked me if I was gay, I'd specificly fail to deny it on the grounds that it's unlikely to be the business of the asker.

Of course, blacks are already "out" as black, so I don't think they will get any invitations to join the KKK. (well, okay, okay, ... some are passing.) And many Mexicans are "out" as Mexicans. So, I don't know if comparing blacks and Mexicans to gays works all that well. But, I do see your point of "Why do people participate in an organization that seeks to harm them?"

I think a more interesting number is: "How many women work for anti-feminist organizations?" Way too many!
