Update: I was contacted by the person that wrote the letter. He said that Garrett didn't "threaten" him, but "ask me to change my letter". I still think that's a rather ugly thing to do.
A bunch of people in NJ are trying to unseat Congressman Scott Garrett, the worst NJ representative in the U.S. House. He’s just plain mean. They were almost successful last time, but I have hope for next time.
Someone wrote this letter to the editor and the good congressman call him at his home to threaten him and encourage him to write a retraction.

The Right Honorable Representative Garrett, the Earl of Sussex, will vote against anything if it slows down Grover Norquist’s plan to “get (our government) down to the size where we can drown it in the bathtub.” But I guess Garrett didn’t get the memo. Norquist’s plan just succeeded.The national press has picked it up.
