Who was "Deep Throat"?

I really had thought it was Ben Stein of “Win Ben Stein’s Money” (and many other things) fame.

He was a Nixon insider, and a friend of Bernstein’s.

All these years I believed that Woodward and Bernstein simply made up the truth. And that everything they made up was too close to the real truth to be denied without actually confirming it. I'm a little sad that it turned out to be a real person. Oh well.

There have already been several informants on this administration. But as long as the Republicans own every branch of government and all the media, Bush will never be driven from office no matter how egregious the offense. After all, lying about getting your dick sucked is way worse than lying to start a war.
