March 19, 1969’s Peanuts has Charlie Brown saying some radical notions that would get you in trouble if you said them in today’s Bush Crime Family area:

Lucy: Life is a mystery, Charlie Brown... do you know the answer?
Charlie Brown: Be kind, don’t smoke, be prompt, smile a lot, eat sensibly, avoid cavities and mark your ballot carefully, avoid too much sun, send overseas packages early, love all creatures above and below, insure your belongings and try to keep the ball low...
Lucy: Hold real still because I’m going to hit you a very sharp blow on the nose!

"Mark your ballot carefully". We'd be a few months into Gore's second term if people did that.

Click on the cartoon above or click here. They're rerunning Peanuts' daily strips 36 years delayed. (some newspapers run it that way too).

Calvin and Hobbes is also being rerun the same way, daily strips rerun 11 years off.
