TivoToGo!!!!

Yeah, Baby! It arrived on my Tivo yesterday and last night I set up the software. This morning the activation keys and junk propagated around and I'm now watching Aqua Teen HungerForce on my PC!!!

Oh wait... it's a desktop PC in the same room as my Tivo. My laptop is a Mac.

Damn, when is the Mac version coming out???

How are your transfer speeds? I've seen some complaints about how long it takes.

They're ok for wireless, which means they're slow. Wireless isn't good for long downloads. If I cared, I'd run a wire to the machine.

People will complain until the transfers are instant.

I did bother to run a wire, but it's still taking hours to transfer a couple of shows. I assume the USB port is the bottleneck.

I haven't tried it on my Mac, but my former Linux (now FreeBSD) server is running javaHMO (javahmo.sourceforge.net). The new version supposedly has support for TiVoToGo, so you might want to give it at try. I fact, I just checked their site, and they have a dmg file for OSX.

I put in for the TiVo software update, we'll see how long it takes it to get through the system.....

*sigh* I have DirecTV Tivo, which means I don't get that cool stuff. Poopers.
