London Calling

I leave for London tonight. I’ll be there all week. Anyone want to get together for dinner?

This is my third trip to London this year. This is the first time I’m going out there not because there is an emergency, etc. I really look forward to this trip. My birthday is Thursday. In the last 6 years I’ve been away from home on my birthday a bunch of times, celebrating when I get back. I hope I can find something fun to do while I’m out there :-)

Not sure if you'll get the comment from my journal, but I'm here until Monday, staying at Manzi's in Leicster Square. The room is in my name (Patti Beadles). We'll be out touristing all day Sunday, but I'll check in late afternoon.

Go see Sweeney Todd while you're here. I just saw it, and it's the most amazing staging of a show that I've ever seen.

I recommend seeing the Darwin Center while you're there (if you have access to Science, you can read my review of it in the Oct 25 2002 issue).

I may have had the most fun in England renting a Mini Cooper S and driving up to Bletchley Park to look at all the Enigma decoding stuff at the museum. The tours are real interesting, too.

cool, enjoy yourself. By the way, its Trish, I'm "back", went through a particularly rough time with separation/custody/divorce stuff, but things look mostly over now, and I'm back :)]
