The odd thing about laryngitis

The odd thing about laryngitis is that nobody I talk to via email or AIM knows that I have it. Sometimes I go so long without the need to talk that I forget that I can't. Then I pick up the phone or someone stops by my office and I'm as shocked as they are when I open my mouth and nothing comes out.

The feedback we got was excellent (mostly complaints about directions and that we should have advertised earlier, no complaints about the content). The turn-out was very good, and I think we broke even (which was our goal, though having more startup money for next year would be nice... we'll know soon if we have any).

As con co-chair, I didn't get to attend many workshops but the two I attended were extremely powerful and really made the weekend worthwhile.

ctan's keynote was awsome. It was so damn good I can't explain it.

Not only do we not know, when I get email it plays back in my mind in the speaker's voice. I'm sure I'm not the only one who does this, and people I've never heard speak get a generic newscaster voice, but it is interesting.
