People rebuked me for saying “the draft is coming” but I think this video clip sums up why I even believe that Snopes is wrong about this one:

My feeling right now is that Snopes is playing right into the hands of the Republicans. Sure they'd like to deny that anything is happening. They may believe so. But that doesn't refute your information.

There's good reason to fear the reintroduction of the draft. But the specific stuff sited ad nauseum that it's already in the works, is completely bogus. The sort of stuff that in order to protect its credibility, even Fox News would shunt off to O'Reilly, rahter than running on a news show.
