Movie identification needed

I saw a few minutes of a movie on TV and I can’t place it. Can someone help me identify this movie?

• A guy tells someone he won’t work for him.
• A couple guys give a ring to a woman who’s fiance died (hit by a bus?)
• A woman comes to a bar and is asked where her band is. She exclaims, that they should have been there already.

Umm, need more detail on the movie, like, any identifying scars on faces, hair color, hairstyles, era, etc?

Might be "The Fabulous Baker Boys", which has a band in it, but I haven't watched it recently so don't recall the other two things.
