NJ doesn't have the resources to stop the growth of gangs infiltrating the New Jersey prison system.

I've heard that a major reason youth join gangs is that they receive a sense of community through the gang. I guess all those cut-cut-cut-taxes people are proud of the strong community they're helping to build.

"It's becoming very difficult for us to do our job," said Neil Layden, president of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 174, which represents 92 Corrections investigators. "We don't have the funding nor the people."

What Mr Layden (if that is his real name) ignores is the helpful benefits of gangs. I hear they provide "protection" in a lot of neighorboods. That sounds like a positive thing, right? Plus, with all the talk about healthcare in the news, I hear gangs are involved in pharmaceuticals. Maybe they should take over other medical services too.

Go Republicans! Keep cutting taxes!

It seems that NJ doesn't have the resources to stop the growth of gangs infiltrating the New Jersey government, either.

If we learned anything from watching The Wire, it is that gangs can't operate without collaboration from local politicians.
