Funny thing I was thinking something similar... "They do look warm in those costumes and at least they're doing something they enjoy." I support people doing something they enjoy, even if I'm not into it. Hey, put on a fur suit and knock yourselves out I say! :)

While I do agree that people have the right to expect compensation for their work, that does not preclude -- or render frightening -- their having the right to decline payment and give away their work for free if they so choose...

Or is it scary because volunteer actors cavorting in fursuits for free diminishes the value of paid actors and mascots doing the same thing?





Now H.R. Puffenstuff on the other hand, that did seriously creep me out when I was a kid, not that I could ever put my finger on the reason it did so.
