Bullies

When I was little I got picked on by bullies a lot. Alas, I think the advice I got from my mom was sort of like this.

When I was young i always got harrased by this one bully. Pushing me, tripping me, always putting me down.

And i always listened to my mom, who said "ignore them and they will leave you alone."

Well mom, thats BS.

So one day i had enough, and popped him in the nose. Not a really strong hit, but enough to bloody him. He looked shocked, then burst into tears.

Never got bothered by him again.

So when i have kids, I'm gonna tell them "Son, if a bully bothers you, defend yourself."
