Hiring an Administrative Assistant in Cambridge, MA

I’m posting this here because I know a lot of Boston-area friends read my LJ and they know a lot of very smart people.

My employer (Google) is looking for a top-notch candidate for an Administrative Assistant in our Cambridge, MA office. You can read job description here.

Hmmm, interesting. We're asking our admins to have a high level of proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook? .... Not that I'm saying anything but ...

I think he's endeavoring to point out that there are Google-produced alternatives to three of four of those applications.

Of course, I don't think that one can ask an administrative assistant currently at a non-Google company to be proficient in Google applications, because, really, there'd be no point in them having that ability.

Before I call my friends that live in the Boston area, do you know what the salary range for the job is?

That the pay at Google is usually pretty good, and they should send me a resume, let our recruiter call them, and then they can discuss salary ranges. Sorry its a long way to get an answer, but I think that's the process currently.
