NYC Pride, Sunday. I can't wait!

I’ll be marching in the Section 9: Professional / Labor section of the NYC LGBT Pride Parade this Sunday. I’ll be, of course, marching with the Google contingent (the “Gayglers”).

This year the theme of the march is United for Equality, so we’ve invited tech firms with a distributed New York presence to join us. We’re expecting DoubleClickers and Microsofties, and maybe some Yahoos, Apples and IBM folk.

I don't think I've ever marched with the bi contingent in NYC. I've always marched with the "out of date groups" (especially when I was pres. of the NJ state coalition), or the AT&T group.

In NJ, I usually was volunteering with the organization directing traffic, or marching with the state-wide coalition (when we ran the march), and only after all that was done I was with the bi contingent (which was "more you").

I'll look forward to the Google contingent in SF Pride. I remember seeing it a few years ago when Google was still an infant and it was very well received and attended at that time.

I expect to find it easily and it to be well-organized?

For me I have a few section I could march in

I could march in section...

7 Disabled/ Seniors / PFLAG - Because I'm a board member of the Queens chapter of PFLAG. But I am not.

Then there is Section...

8 Leather/Levi/Fetish - Because I am a Leader/member in the Leather/Fetish communities. But again not this one.

I will be marching in section....

11 Bi/Trans/Political Movement/Politicians - I will be carrying the banner of the New York Bisexual Network in memory of Brenda [and you know why].

BTW: Since you will be marching with someone else, if you know of anyone that would like to help carry NYABN's banner, please let me know and send them to me :-) *hint* *hint*
