Now that Google Maps does multi-point directions, plot out a course to show all the places you’ve lived.

Tips: (1) you can re-arrange the order by dragging the address boxes, (2) you can add comments by each one by putting them in parenthesis, (3) don’t list the street number so people can’t stalk you.

You get a really long URL that looks like this!

I started trying to do it, and it became a SERIOUS mental exercise. I'll have to spend some time remembering all of the places I've lived when I'm not trying to get out of the door. But what fun. :)

Google doesn't know any street addresses in Haifa, Israel, or in Jinja, Uganda :) Oddly, it doesn't even have any roads at all in Haifa, but it does have a couple of the main roads in Jinja, where they don't have much high speed Internet access and where far fewer people speak English.

P.S. Your map is so compact! But if I did one for just the places I've lived in the US, mine would be even smaller :)

How do you add the descriptive text to the locations? Mine may not be quite as big as mrfantasy, but it is pretty spread out.

I didn't know you lived in Colorado!

So, to put the comments in, just add parenthesis to the search box. Instead of searching for "to:07003", search for "To:07003 (The Text)"
