Great! Not as great if you’ve already seen a lot of his material, but great. The racism stuff was pretty scary, sort of like a reality-tv show “crash moment”. (Though, yes, yes, I know it was all scripted).

> 2:00 Happy Feet

Soooo cuuuute! I loved it. (Great point being made at the end.)

> 4:45 Stranger than Fiction

Really good. Good even if you don’t like Will Ferrell (he doesn’t do his goofy dork act from SNL like most movies).

> Dinner

Pizza between 2 of the movies :)

> Tivo Catchup: 30 Rock, Studio 60, and possibly watch “Primer”

Coming up next! :-)

Happy birthday! That sounds like my kind of birthday. :-)

Which parts of Borat were scripted? The interviews I've read indicated that the feminism roundtable and the rodeo were not only not scripted, the participants were not really happy about the way they were approached and used for the film. (I have never seen Baron Cohen before and found the film screamingly hysterical, btw)

Loved Stranger Than Fiction. Lovedloved it. I expect to hear a lot of know-nothings complaining that he ripped off Charlie Kaufman. Am thinking of buying up a bunch of tapes of Alain Resnais's Providence to hand off to anyone who says this in front of me.

The original Borat material here (part of his Ali G show) clearly weren't scripted, just as the 'before anyone had heard of him' Ali G interviews of famous people weren't.

Happy birthday! Sounds like you had a nice, relaxing day. Just what you need to rest up for a marathon session at LISA, I guess. See you in a few days!
