I’ve been reading a lot of TNR.com lately. I’m very impressed by their analysis of American politics.
Like this article about Democratic victories...

The “leave us alone” agenda that once worked so well for Republicans in the Mountain West is now benefiting Democrats like Tester. Western voters--always wary of government intrusion--have grown increasingly distrustful of a GOP identified with deficit spending, the religious right, and humanitarian intervention abroad.

I actually like their analysis. I'm not in love with accepting moderate views on same-sex marriage, etc., but the idea of the "get government out of my life" people moving to our side is a good thing. (the "get government out of corporate life"-types need to stay behind.)
